“Unmask Opera” is a series of staged performance photographs that explore identity, gender, and cultural representation. Inspired by Peking Opera, Chun Hua Catherine Dong uses self-portraiture to reimagine cultural traditions from a non-binary perspective. This piece challenges gender norms and serves as an act of socio-political resistance.
